Second, take note of Career Assistance Week February 1st thru 5th in the Between Jobs online community.  IFMA members can login to the community via www.ifmacommunity.org, access a number of resources that have been posted there, and post questions to be answered by the Job Doctors (Doug Aldrich, CFM, IFMA Fellow, Stormy Friday, IFMA Fellow, Kit Tuveson, CFM, IFMA Fellow) who can provide career counseling, networking tips and advice.  The week will culminate with a webinar on Feb. 5th (10 to 11:30 am CST). The Job Doctors will have a presentation and then answer questions.  Need more information? Contact Barbara (Barbara.zlatnik@ifma.org).  Make sure your chapter members are aware of these events, especially those members looking for work!

Last week, chapter support led two highly successful webinars for chapter leaders on Assisting and Supporting Unemployed Members.  The calls, conducted Wednesday and Thursday this week, attracted almost 50 chapter leaders.  Attendees shared ideas and good practices with their leader colleagues including programs to financially assist members, networking events, job postings, and career development speakers/sessions their chapters’ have conducted.  Watch the February issue of C3; we will provide notes from these calls to share these ideas with all volunteer leaders.

As always, IFMA’s chapter support team is available to answer questions and assist you!
