The Community Service Committee identifies, develops, coordinates and implements services for non-profit organizations in the Denver area. This includes collecting toys in December for homeless children, and collecting clothing and toiletries for the homeless in the Fall. Each year, one or more renovation project is identified in the community through which the Chapter can manage a project from cradle to grave. Chapter members donate various design services as well as furnishings, furniture, plants, artwork and equipment. This Committee:
-Coordinates and plans community service programs in the Greater Denver Metro Area.
-Coordinates with non-profit organizations on prospective community service projects.
-Implements any approved community service events or programs approved by the Chapter.
-Coordinates the collection and dissemination of donated items for selected community projects.
-Coordinates with the Chapter Programs Committee on the planning of the annual Silent Auction.
-Attends monthly board meetings.
The team provides administrative support to the Committee. This may include, but not be limited to:
-Assisting and helping manage approved community service projects.
-Assisting in the collection and dissemination of donated items for selected community projects.
-Coordinating with non-profit organizations on approved community service projects.
-Attending the monthly board meeting in the absence of the Committee chairperson.
