The Chapter Awards committee responsibilities include keeping the Denver IFMA board abreast of the entire Chapter Awards process, which starts around June of each year. The committee creates an incentive program to ensure chapter participation in the nomination and voting process. We create the nomination and ballot forms to send out to all of the chapter members. The communication tools used to communicate the process, deadlines, and mailings is usually via the Denver IFMA Newsletter, Update, e-mail, and/or fax. After the ballots are returned, the committee tallies the ballots to determine the winners of each category. The Committee solicits corporate sponsors for gift donations and incentive program, as well as a corporate sponsor to assist in the creation of the award itself. The committee located and procured framing for the awards, within the committee's allocated budget. Lastly, the committee must create letters of appreciation for corporate sponsor participation. The committee presents awards to the winners, and the letters of appreciation to corporate sponsors at the Chapter’s annual Holiday Party in December.
