How to become a member

Just heard about IFMA and want to learn more? Go to to learn more. IFMA brings great value to its members by offering a variety of facility competency courses as well as three international recognized professional credentials:

  • Facility Management Professional (FMP)
  • Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP)
  • Certified Facility Managers (CFM)

All are offered online or in a classroom environment with other facility professionals. Are you finally convinced that IFMA is the organization right for you? You can join online or via mail or fax. 

When you join IFMA International, make sure you select Denver as your local chapter. Denver hosts luncheon learning events, tours, credential education and networking events; and provides the opportunity to build relationships with facility professional colleagues.  

In addition to IFMA membership dues, the Denver Chapter dues are US $315.  As a member of the local chapter your dues include 1 ticket to:

  • Award winning Programs and Professional Development (seminar luncheons, facility tours. and locally hosted courses)
  • Social events (summer social, sporting event, Sponsorship appreciation, and holiday party)

You also can benefit from:

  • Networking with colleagues at the Annual Golf Tournament (Separate fee to play).
  • Employment referral services.
  • Volunteering for community services projects and fundraisers.
  • An opportunity to volunteer on a committee and/or serve in a leadership position.

IFMA Base Member Dues (required):

IFMA base dues effective October 1, 2018. The rates are below. Please view the IFMA International FAQ page for additional information.    

  • The base rate for Tier 1 IFMA membership will be US$219 per year for professionals and associates and US$139 for young professionals.
  • The Tier 2 rate will be US$176 professionals and associates and US$139 for young professionals.
  • The Tier 3 rate will be US$135 professionals, associates and young professionals and the Tier 4 rate will be US$120 for professionals, associates and young professionals.

Tiers are based on the World Bank's classification of the world's economies per estimates of Gross National Income.

First-year IFMA members are required to join a component (local chapter, council or community). After the first year of membership, local chapter, council or community membership is optional. You may join more than one component.
