Board of Directors

The Denver Chapter of IFMA Board of Directors are elected officials. Each serve a tour of duty for two years. If one is unable to serve out their term, a special election will be conducted for a replacement officer in accordance with the Chapter's By Laws.

The Denver Chapter of IFMA has recently changed some its Board of Director positions such as from Treasurer to the Vice President of Finance and Secretary to the Vice President of Communications. Also, it added two new positions (Vice President of Member Services and Vice President of Programs). Each position serves as a team leader to the various committees that align within it. It also ensures the chapter is delivering operational excellence in executing its strategic plan.The changes was agreed upon to establish a hierarchy of leadership based upon the absents of the President. Committees have also been realigned to increase communications with the team leadership and balancing their responsibilities. This helps the chapter to be more structured with IFMA and other business practices. Also, it will be a tool to assist during the elections on nominating other Board of Directors to take the leading role of the chapter.

Lorie Libby is our Chapter President for 2019-2020. She has been an active member of Denver IFMA since 2007. During Lorie's time in IFMA she  has participated in many committees including, membership, community service, programs, and golf. Lorie has been involved in the planning sessions for IFMA for the past 7 years and has worked hard to help bring valuable programs to IFMA's Members. Lorie has been responsible for growing the market and making Universal Protection Service one of the premier security companies in the Colorado market since December 2007.

Darin Rose brings 20+ years of experience in management and facilities on the Associate and FM professional sides of the industry; for public, private and non-profit industries, as well for construction, and retail banking institutions. Darin Rose's involvement with IFMA began in 1994 in Los Angeles and carried over when he moved to Denver 2000. Darin achieved his CFM in 2008 and was one of the first to complete their SFP in 2011. He has served as the Education Committee Chair, the Chapter Secretary, Vice President, and President. Along with this current Past-President duties he recently joined the Advisory of the America’s Board and is the IFMA Foundation Chapter Liaison Chair.

Jim is the North America Facility Manager for Vaisala in Louisville Colorado.  A Finnish company with it's North American headquarters in Colorado. Vaisala makes high tech weather data gathering and monitoring equipment as well as industrial flow metering equipment that is used by multiple government and state agencies across the US and the globe. Jim has been a member of IFMA since 2012 and actively served on the programs committee and served as the Co-Chairperson. He also assisted on the Community Service and Golf Tournament Committees. He was the VP of Finance in 2017-18 years.

Brent works for Visa as Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate and Facility Operations Western North America. His primary responsibilities are Lease Management and Facility Operations (maintenance, custodial, landscaping, cafeteria, mail/copy center services, budget management, project management, space planning, and process management improvement). Brent has been involved with the IFMA since 2001 and the Denver Chapter of IFMA since 2010 and is excited to be our VP of Finance again for 2019-2020 years.

 Penny joined IFMA in 2014 and has been involved on committees ever since. She was the 2017-18 Programs Chairperson and the   award recipient of the Associate Member Award in 2018. She is also involved in other IFMA Chapter Boards.

As a native of Colorado, Mark has been involved in the construction and real-estate industry for over 20 years. In 2011, Mark began the position of client liaison and business development manager for All Phase Restoration of Denver. Mark has been an integral part of opening All Phase Restoration of Denver as well as the continued development of All Phase Restoration of Northern and Southern Colorado. He credits “meaningful relationships and a very strong team” to the tremendous annual growth All Phase has recognized since inception.

Mark attended Fort Lewis College and Colorado State University from 1988 through 1993. Mark worked his way through school in the service industry and has a much grounded appreciation for what it means to serve others. After the service industry Mark went in to commercial security sales at Security Link from Ameritech. A short time later he was hired by IBM (Home Director) as the territory representative for their builder division for the Western United States. Three years later he was promoted to the western regional sales manager. After leaving, Mark started his own general contracting firm as well as an independent representative for the commercial and residential construction industry.

Having been raised by a military father complimented by a background in sales and marketing, Mark knows the importance of meaningful relationships, the value of integrity, and the humility of service. Mark is the proud father of two children. If Mark has any spare time you will find him on a ski slope, behind a ski boat, on a mountain bike, or trekking to the top of one of Colorado’s beautiful summits.

Debbie is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with more than 15 years of experience as an association executive and event marketing strategist. She is Owner of DLK Marketing and Events. Her major accomplishments are in event architecture, marketing, social media, sponsorship, fundraising management, contract negotiation, and strategic planning.

Debbie earned her Bachelor of Art’s Integrative Studies degree in Advertising from George Mason University in 2001. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, Rocky Mountain Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, the International Live Events Association Denver Chapter and the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado. Debbie is a mother of two kids and loves to travel, cook, paint, and garden in her free time.
